The project SMART.MONITOR researches the basic aspects of a monitoring system and the necessary indicators in the field of smart city in order to use this information for a smart city monitoring. At the moment, there is no system available for the governmental sector to record the complexity of the smart city development and to monitor the target achievement and the implementation of strategies and projects. Therefore, SMART.MONITOR focuses on the implementation of a monitoring system to depict long-term development goals and supporting target-orientated information production and decision making.
The project is funded by the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology and is coordinated by the Municipal Department 18 (Urban Development and Planning) in cooperation with TINA Vienna. It runs from September 2015 to August 2016.
