Exhibition in Bucharest

„Vienna Know-how: Urban Technologies and Strategies"in the Museum of the City of Bucharest

From 27 February till 15 April 2011, the exhibition "Vienna Know-How: Urban Technologies and Strategies" at the Museum of the City of Bucharest offered a detailed and comprehensive insight into the organism of the City of Vienna to the about 2.500 visitors - because it cannot quite be taken for granted that a city functions in the way it does.

The exhibition was on display in Vienna from April to June 2010. In September 2010 it was shown internationally for the first time at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade. Now the international tour went on to Bucharest.

The exhibition was opened on 27 February 2011 at 12:30 p.m. by Ionel Ionita (Director of the Museum of the City of Bucharest), Emanuel Papagheorghiu (Director Culture, Education and Tourism Department of the City of Bucharest), Christian Oxonitsch (Executive City Councillor, Administrative Group Education, Youth, Information and Sports of the City of Vienna) and Alexandra Vogl (Managing Director of TINA VIENNA GmbH). Michael Schwarzinger, Austrian Ambassador in Bucharest, also joined the opening event. Many people took the opportunity to get to know Viennese urban technologies & strategies and visited the opening event in the museum.

Until 15 April 2011, the Museum of the City of Bucharest provided Bucharest's interested public audience with the opportunity of gaining an insight into innovative Viennese solutions.

The international exhibition is curated by TINA VIENNA, a company of Wien Holding. It was organised in cooperation with the City of Bucharest and the Museum of the City of Bucharest and was made possible with the support of the following companies:
